Step 17: Never Use More Than Two Fonts
Too much of typefaces can lead to a much cluttered logo design as an end result. So the best option is to use not more than 2 font faces, to come up with clear cut logo. One subtle typeface is enough to make logo look good.


Step 18: Logo Design and Background
Whenever you are doing an acid test for your logo design, try to test it against any backgrounds. In most cases the clients prefer white backgrounds, but there is no harm if you have it tested against darker or essentially black backgrounds. It is mandatory if you also can check the logo in monochrome. Put yourself in the shoes of your client and test the logo based on different colours.


Step 19: Keeping Track of the Trend
Trend is something which changes continuously. You will notice the changes of trends in logo as well. You have to be judicious enough either to follow the current trend or create the trend of your own. Your ideology should be disruptive to change the current trend. Be it Black or White, Serrated Edges, Mosaic or energetic pattern, transparent overlaps or much simplified it should be absolutely up to about what logo trend you would be choosing.


Step 20: Editing Through Subtraction
It is one of the most difficult times when it comes to the editing of the Logo design. There are ought to be spaces in your logo design which seems to be redundant. Continuously question yourself by placing the relevant facts in front of you. Don’t force the history of the company or product into the logo design by which the value of the Logo diminishes. If you take the example IT Giant Microsoft, it does not show computers on the logo. The swoosh logo of Nike does not depicts any of the shoes or accessories, Nike sells.


Step 22: Lock it up with Logo Lock-Up
The term Lock-Up in case of Logos in a nutshell means the final logo with all the elements locked in a relative position with some amount of cohesion amongst each other. At times some elements of the logo can stand without the support of the Logo itself, such as the taglines or symbol by itself. They can exist on their own and when they are locked-up, they can exist together.


For example, if again the Nike Logo is taken into consideration, the famous tagline –‘Just Do it!’ and the ‘Swoosh Logo’ can exist separately. But a Lock-up happens these elements can perfectly coerce together.


Step 23: Make Your Logo Design Responsive

The best way for implementation and tasting of the Logo is through is to put it on variants which can be used in the real world.
