Case study - Outsourced Software Product Development

Our client was a start up company which wanted to develop a business solution for mining industry. The challenge was developing an application which could be run off tablet pc's as well as normal pc's & laptops with ability to synchronize data between multiple portable devices and the main data repository. The client contacted us for developing the product on the .net platform. We successfully developed the application for him at an economical price. The solution is currently being marketed in the Australian Market.

Case Study - POS - Outsourced Business Application Development

The client was a leading business house with multiple stores across Australia. They were using an off the shelf POS solution which was proving to be inadequate for their requirements. They had looked at various other alternatives but none could provide all the functionalities they wanted. We undertook a major study of the requirements and over a span of 14 months built for them a solution customized to their requirements. The solution was eventually running across 12 of their stores online synchronizing the data with the main central database.

Case Study - Software Development and Facility Outsourcing

The client is a top advertising company based in western Sydney. The client had programming staff on its pay roll along with the other advertising and creative staff. The client was also involved in managing software, servers and website for some big end users, including a top a pharmaceutical company. Since the programming division was not a core part of its business, the client decided to successfully outsource it to us. We manage the clients hosting business as well as the programming business. The client does not need full time programming staff on its payroll any more.

We provide the client with fixed quotes that they then pass to the end client. This reduces the risk of cost blowouts and budget overruns. The client also gets access to vast programming skill-set that we have present at Vision & Solutions.

Case Study - Development of a helpdesk System

The client is a leading manufacturer of IT products. With a range of more than 100 products and having a support teams of more than 50 people located both on site as well as off-site call-centers they were using a helpdesk system. The solution had its own limitations and with increased focus on internet, the client wanted a system which could have both an application as well as web interface. The challenge was to provide such a system while allowing for a large number of personnel to interact with the database simultaneously. We undertook a detailed system study and over a period of 10 months developed a solution for the client which solved their existing teething problems as well as provided them with a solution which fulfilled all their requirements as well as catered to their future growth. The cost was slightly more than the current AMC charges they were paying thus proving economical for the company and paying off for itself within a year.
